Utah’s Most Popular Photoshoot Locations

We asked our Beyond the Studio team what some of the most popular Utah photoshoot locations are (other than our gorgeous studios *wink, wink*), and here’s what they said. Caution: Viewing photos of these gorgeous locations will make you want to plan a photoshoot IMMEDIATELY!

#1- Tibble Fork Reservoir

She’s an icon, she’s a legend, and she IS the moment. Tibble Fork Reservoir is one of the most recognizable locations in Utah! It has everything you could want: A sloped, grassy hill that becomes the most epic sledding spot in the winter; a stunning view of the mountains that you don’t have to hike a mile for; and a reservoir that you can swim and kayak in! It’s no wonder it’s a hit for photographers, too. This photoshoot location can be busy, but there’s always a spot you can take photos in!

Our Beyond the Studio team has been dying to go back, and are now booking mini sessions here June 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th! To view their available spots, click here.

Check out these photos from some of our summer shoots at the reservoir! These popular sessions sell out every year, so act fast if you want to book!

#2- Kyhv Peak

This stunning place made our jaws DROP the first time we shot there. Located in Provo Canyon, this location is popular from June-October and has everything from flowers to fall foliage, depending on the season. Sunrise photoshoots are best in this location but we think the early morning light is worth every minute of lost sleep. Just look at how dreamy it is!

Our Beyond the Studio team can book on-location sessions at any destination you choose—and any excuse we can get to come back out here, we’ll take! Text or call our team at (801) 674-2295.

#3- Jordan Pines Campground

This spot is accessible year round, meaning it’s great in every season! With stunning mountain views and a charming boardwalk, it provides an up-scale feel to your photos without the hassle of being off the beaten path. In the winter, this spot is truly something extraordinary! We’ve never seen a winter wonderland quite like Jordan Pines after a fresh snowfall. While fall might be the busiest time for photography here, we highly recommend summer and winter sessions here as well!

We might be biased…but we think Utah is one of the most beautiful states for photography. From the alpine feel of the northern Utah mountains to the red rock of St. George and Moab, we are one lucky state! No matter where your family chooses to get your portraits taken, you can be sure that a session with Camera Shy will make your photos worth printing for every corner of your house.
