  • The session retainer is for your photoshoot. This is your time scheduled in the studio with your photographer. It’s non-refundable, but it is transferable if you need to reschedule.

  • Digital images are not included with the session retainer. You will have the option to purchase digital or print packages after your photo viewing.

  • We’ve taken the time to curate print packages that not only provide a discount on what we would charge for these prints a la carte, but also makes the entire print process easy by giving you our most popular sizes and the ability to create a balanced gallery wall from the sizes offered in your package. If those sizes don’t work our photographers can customize the sizes you need to the value of the package you’ve chosen.

  • No! We have a whole staff of
    talented photographers ready to take your photos. While we can’t reserve a specific photographer for you, all of our photographers are
    continuously trained to make sure they’re meeting our Camera Shy standards.

  • No problem at all! Our Beyond the Studio experiences are designed to be shorter and sweeter with 30 minute sessions at some of our favorite locations. They’re perfect if you want beautiful photos without committing to a full hour, and they still include the same great Camera Shy experience you know and love.

  • Yes. The expiration date should be labeled on the card or in the email.

  • Try to book a time that is about 1 hour before sunset. Your weather app should show the sunset time.

  • Yes, we love our furry friends! Make sure they have a leash and are well behaved so the other sessions aren’t disrupted.

  • Our packages begin at only $239. Check in with your photographer for the best deals!

  • For groups over 8 people, we offer extended sessions. Larger groups require additional time to ensure everyone is comfortably positioned and that we can capture each special moment. This helps us provide the best possible experience and ensures no one feels rushed during their session. Our normal extended pricing covers up to 20 subjects. However, if you require more people, $15/person is added to the total price after 20 subjects. Select studios can accommodate up to 25 people, but larger groups may be photographed outdoors. Extended sessions receive 80 minutes rather than our standard 60 minutes.

  • We have a variety of baskets, blankets, and swaddles at each location available for use during our newborn sessions. Exact swaddle colors and props will vary by location. If swaddles are dirty, they will be washed, meaning that certain colors may not be available if it is currently being cleaned. If you are wanting a specific color or look to your newborn session, we suggest bringing in props that fit your vision. Your photographer will be happy to incorporate them into
    your session.

  • We love cake smashes! Your photographer will generally do the cake smash towards the end of
    your session so that the baby isn’t dirty for the rest of their portraits. About 10 minutes will be taken out of your total session time to allow for cleaning so that the studio is ready for the next clients.

  • Our policy is that we pay to store your high resolution images for 6 months to give our clients ample time to download them. They are then archived. This is discussed at the session viewing and is also stated in your online gallery. There is a $24.99 fee per session to retrieve the images and reactivate the online gallery. This can take up to 48 hours.

  • We offer both photography and videography services. Let's get you in contact with our Weddings department to see which wedding package is right for you! From there, they will provide you with information on pricing as well as availability. You can call or text them at 801-674-2295 or email in at weddings@camerashy.com.

  • Absolutely! Our friendly staff can help you get scheduled for a day that works best for you. But, most of our customers take advantage of our same-day service and discounts.

  • We get it – picking your favorites can be tough! That’s why we set aside time to go through your images together and help you choose. Plus, your photographer can use a simulator to show you how your photos will look at home!

    We suggest bringing along anyone who’s part of the decision-making crew to your viewing appointment!
