It’s a Camera Shy Christmas!
When it comes to Christmas, Camera Shy is your home for holiday photos! It’s our favorite (and busiest!) time of the year, and a LOT of work goes in behind the scenes to get things ready at all our studios. Can you believe we start planning things in MAY? All this work is worth it for the smiles we see when our clients get their first look at our Christmas sets or take pictures with Santa Claus himself.
We know with the hustle and bustle of this time of year, it can be hard to see everything that we’re offering in one place. So, here’s your guide to holiday photos, the Camera Shy way!
Santa at Daybreak: December 14th & 21st
You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, and I’ll tell you why: Santa Claus is coming to Daybreak! If you’re looking for Santa photos inside our warm studio, instead of braving the cold, these are the perfect mini sessions for you! This Santa experience is the real deal: A private visit with a real, professional Santa. Skip the mall lines or putting on a sweaty Santa costume this year, and leave that extra bit of Christmas magic to Santa himself! It’s a holiday memory your kids won’t forget. Santa & Reindeer: Nov 29th, 30th, Dec 7th, 14th
It’s the event of the year: Get ready for Santa Claus to visit with his very own, real-life reindeer! Held at Gardner Village, the Christmas capitol of the Salt Lake Valley, these are mini sessions you do not want to miss. There will be three different sets: A reindeer set, a set with Santa, and a hot chocolate stand! During your photoshoot, you’ll move through each set, taking pictures at each one. Depending on how busy your time slot is, you may be able to have the reindeer join Santa or Santa join you at the hot chocolate stand! Our first year of doing these sessions like this, we got the most positive feedback from you all. We heard you, and we’re keeping this system again this year! We guarantee you’ll see at least one smile from each of your children… it’s kind of hard not to with how cute those reindeer are. Want to book your spot before they’re gone? Click here!
Christmas at the Studios
If you’re looking for a traditional red and green look, our first set is the one for you! We were inspired by the festiveness and class of poinsettias for our first backdrop. We added some draped fabric and red winter berries for a touch of holiday whimsy. We love how it looks in both natural light and our studio lights! This shot was taken in the first room of our Lehi location.
Our second set has all that classic Christmas coziness you could want in a photoshoot. With a more neutral color scheme of browns, whites, and greens—with just the perfect pop of red—this is a great set for those who don’t have traditional Christmas colors on for their photoshoot. We love how it looks in front of the window on the top floor of our Gardner Village location! Bonus points for the Santa hats this cute family brought.

Christmas at Camera Shy’s Owl Express
Our Owl Express studio is our mini session studio for those who don’t want a full session. It’s our smallest studio, and the perfect size for our 20 minute session lengths. Our Owl Express studio got its own, unique Christmas set this year with so many classic and beautiful elements. We particularly love the stockings and the patterns on the wrapping paper this year. If you find yourself saying “We really only need a couple good photos for our Christmas cards,” this may be the right studio for you! See our availability here.
