10 “Don’t-Miss” Utah Valentine’s Day Activities
It’s love month, and we love all the festivities held to celebrate our Valentine’s—whether they’re our partners, family, or just our gals! We’ve rounded up a list of fun activities in Utah County and Salt Lake County to help this Valentine’s Day season be one to remember!
#1- Galentine’s at Gardner Village: February 7th, 10am-6pm
Join Gardner Village for their annual Galentine’s event! With photo-ops, delicious food, fun giveaways, and exclusive sales, this is one you won’t want to miss out on! Come dressed festively in hearts, pinks, and reds and snag some share-worthy photos with your girls! Camera Shy will be doing walk-in mini Valentine’s photoshoots based on availability if you want to capture the moment with fun, festive, and stunning professional images. Don’t forget to come back later with your partner and share a peck on the Kissing Bridge!
#2- Volkswagen Bus Valentine’s Sessions: February 7th, 8th & 13th, 14th
We did these Volkswagen Bus Valentine’s Day Minis the other year with our vintage VW bus, Ruth, and we were so obsessed with them that we had to bring them back! Located at Gardner Village, these 20-minute mini sessions are a great way to capture you and your loved ones! Chocolates come and go (way too fast in our experience…) but pictures last a lifetime! Start by booking your session online here with a $29 session retainer. Then, you can pick from a variety of picture packages when you view your photos—our base, digital-only package is $239 before tax. (Please note: Session retainer does not go towards the purchase of a picture package.)
#3- Open Studio at Springville Art Museum: February 11th, 4pm-7pm
The Springville Museum of Art is holding their Valentine’s Edition of their Open Studio family activity series. Join their staff in the museum’s atrium and take part in Valentine’s Day themed crafts. Crafts are geared towards ages 2-12 but are welcome and free for all ages. Participate in their “I Heart Art Week” and place paper hearts next to your favorite works of art in their gallery! No matter what day you come, a stroll through the art gallery makes for a perfect date night!
#4- Catch a Movie at Cargo Cinema: Various dates all February
Name a more classic “night out” than catching a movie in theaters! Cargo Cinema in Springville adds a retro twist to your date night while showing classic movies we all love. This February, they’ll be showing titles like Romeo and Juliet, The Notebook, Phantom of the Opera, Enchanted and more! Seating is limited, so buy your tickets ahead of time on their website, here.
#5- Valentine’s Tea at The Grand America Hotel: February 7th-16th
Get luxurious with High Tea at The Grand America—Valentine’s Day edition! Experience special teas, savory tea sandwiches, and house-made pastries. Be sure to dress in your finest! #6- Galentine’s Wine & Paint at La Caille: February 11th, 6-8pm
According to their Instagram, these 21+ events sell out quickly! So, if you and your gals are interested in unleashing your inner artist, don’t wait to book; pricing is $65 per person. Paint in their Glass House with a lovely garden ambience with guided, beginner-friendly painting instruction. Sip on curated La Caille wines and cocktails. If you don’t make it to their Valentine’s event, they have some more Wine & Paint Evenings throughout the month!
#7- Galentine’s Brunch at Plated Dreams: February 12th, 12pm
This spot is in Woods Cross, but we had to include it! Just look at how perfect this place is for a Valentine’s-themed meal. Plated Dreams is holding a Galentine’s Brunch with themed food, pink drinks, photo ops, a flower bar, and more! With bites like pink fettuccine, berry French toast, and red velvet pancakes, we think you would have full permission to “let your phone eat first.” It looks like tickets are going fast, so hop on this one quick! Even if you don’t get a ticket to their event, with decor like this, it looks like it’s Valentine’s Day everyday!
#8- Valentine’s Dinner at Adelaide: February 14th, 5-10pm
Adelaide Urban Brasserie in Salt Lake City is offering a Prix-Fixe menu at $95 per person. Enjoy the modern, warm ambience with a dinner featuring choices like Hamachi Crudo, 6oz Filet Mignon Au Poivre, and Ube-Coconut Creme Brûlée. Talk about mouth-watering! #9- Make Matching Jewelry at The Gem Studio: All Month
